A Study on the Correlation between Serum Creatinine and Exercise Intensity in Male Athletes Under Long-term Physical Training
Abstract:Objective: To explore the relationship between the increase in serum creatinine concentration and exercise intensity. Methods: Data from physical examinations and sports test results of 64 young male athletes undergoing long-term high-intensity physical training were collected. The subjects were divided into groups based on the upper limit of normal serum creatinine levels. Differences in blood cell analysis results, urine test results, serum urea nitrogen, uric acid indicators, and kidney ultrasound findings between the two groups were compared, and the correlation between creatinine levels and exercise intensity was analyzed. Results: Compared with the normal creatinine group, no significant differences were found in blood cell analysis results, urine test results, serum urea nitrogen, uric acid indicators, or kidney ultrasound findings in the elevated creatinine group. However, there was a statistically significant difference in serum creatinine levels and physical test scores. Conclusion: For young males undergoing long-term high-intensity physical training, serum creatinine levels are more suitable as an indicator for adjusting training intensity.
