Application Analysis of Waste Heat Cooling Using Slag Water in Linyi Gangtou Special Steel Blast Furnace
Abstract:This paper analyzes the problems of waste heat in slag water, key equipment selection, and the actual operation effect of slag water cooling. By using a specially designed heat exchanger to produce hot water from slag water or to generate low-pressure steam through vacuum phase change, the corrosion and scaling problems of slag water can be effectively solved. A low-temperature driven absorption chiller is used to address the temperature fluctuation issue of slag water. The results show that by combining a heat exchanger with a two-stage hot water absorption chiller, stable cooling of slag water between 60-95°C can be achieved. The average cooling capacity of this waste heat cooling system is 3,349 kW, with a coefficient of performance (COP) of 0.486. During the cooling period, it can save 1.494 million kWh of electricity, and the equipment investment payback period is 3-5 years.
