Research on Energy Efficiency Improvement System for Gas Boilers Based on Air Humidification and Deep Recovery of Flue Gas Waste Heat
Abstract:In response to the demand for energy efficiency improvement of gas boilers, this study takes a 14 MW gas hot water boiler in a boiler room in Beijing as the research object, and proposes an optimized renovation scheme based on air humidification and deep recovery of flue gas waste heat. The results show that after the renovation, the flue gas temperature decreased from 78°C to 40.2–50.4°C, the network return water temperature increased by 10–15°C, and the thermal efficiency of boiler A and boiler B was improved from 96.09% to 103.15% and 104.11%, respectively, breaking the efficiency limit of conventional condensing boilers. The investment payback period of this project is 5.09 years, with an annual reduction of 427,400 m³ of natural gas consumption and 913.7 tons of CO₂ emissions, demonstrating significant economic and environmental benefits. This scheme realizes efficient energy cascading utilization and environmental benefits, and is suitable for existing gas boiler rooms with low energy efficiency and limited renovation conditions, providing technical support for energy-saving renovation of gas boilers in northern heating systems.
