Effect of Curved Fin Structure on Flow and Heat Transfer Performance of Microchannel Heat Exchangers
Abstract:To enhance the overall heat transfer performance of microchannel heat exchangers, a microchannel heat exchanger with curved fin structure was designed. Through numerical simulation, the comprehensive heat transfer performance of forward curved fin microchannels, reverse curved fin microchannels, and forward-reverse staggered curved fin microchannels were compared and analyzed with that of rectangular fin microstructure heat exchangers at Reynolds numbers (Re) of 200-600. The results show that when Re=600, the Nu of the forward-reverse staggered curved fin microstructure heat exchanger reaches 38.38, indicating the best heat transfer performance.
