Effect of Yishen Huashi Granule Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of IgA Nephropathy on Proteinuria and Inflammatory Factor Levels
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of adding Yishen Huashi Granule to irbesartan treatment in patients with IgA nephropathy and its impact on proteinuria and inflammatory factor levels. Methods: A total of 80 patients with IgA nephropathy who visited Zhengzhou No. 9 People's Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table, with 40 cases in each group. After admission, all patients received routine treatments such as maintaining water and electrolyte balance, diuresis, and blood pressure reduction. The control group was given oral irbesartan treatment on this basis, while the observation group received combined treatment with Yishen Huashi Granule and irbesartan. The treatment period lasted for 2 months. The clinical efficacy, changes in renal function and inflammatory factor levels before and after treatment, and safety during treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: Compared with the control group, the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=4.588, P<0.05). After treatment, both groups showed an increase in glomerular filtration rate, while serum creatinine, serum uric acid, urea nitrogen levels, urinary red blood cell count, and 24-hour urinary protein quantification were lower than before treatment. The improvement in these indicators in the observation group was better than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=2.102, 5.480, 6.688, 11.879, 3.399, 17.114, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of various inflammatory factors in both groups decreased, and the decrease in the observation group was more pronounced, with statistically significant differences (t=10.303, 4.570, 16.271, 5.729, P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, rash, ALT elevation, and gastrointestinal reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=4.021, P<0.001). Conclusion: The combination of Yishen Huashi Granule and Western medicine shows a definite effect in the treatment of IgA nephropathy, which can significantly improve renal function, reduce proteinuria, regulate inflammatory factor levels, alleviate inflammatory responses in the body, and has a high level of safety.
