Analysis of the Effect of Lansoprazole and Amoxicillin Dual Therapy on Chronic Gastritis and Its Impact on Gastrointestinal Function and Recurrence
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of lansoprazole and amoxicillin dual therapy on chronic gastritis and its impact on gastrointestinal function and recurrence. Methods: A total of 94 patients with chronic gastritis treated at Yanshi People's Hospital of Luoyang City from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, with 47 cases in each group. The control group received lansoprazole treatment, while the observation group received lansoprazole and amoxicillin dual therapy. The efficacy, gastrointestinal function, oxidative stress response, inflammatory response, eradication rate, adverse reactions, and recurrence rates of the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group (95.74%) was higher than that of the control group (80.85%), with a statistically significant difference (χ2=5.045, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of pepsinogen ratio (PGR), pepsinogen I (PG I), and pepsinogen II (PG II) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the level of gastrin-17 (GAS-17) was higher, with statistically significant differences (t=3.549, 2.964, 3.325, 6.444, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of nitric oxide (NO) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the level of superoxide dismutase (SOD) was higher, with statistically significant differences (t=-11.582, -11.602, 5.891, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=11.531, 4.215, 5.492, P<0.05). The Helicobacter pylori (Hp) eradication rate in the observation group (95.74%) was higher than that in the control group (78.22%), with a statistically significant difference (χ2=6.114, P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups (χ2=1.528, P>0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=4.041, P<0.05). Conclusion: Lansoprazole and amoxicillin dual therapy has a significant therapeutic effect on chronic gastritis, significantly improves gastrointestinal function, oxidative stress response, and inflammatory response, effectively enhances Hp eradication rate, reduces recurrence rate, and has good clinical safety.
