Efficacy Evaluation of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction Combined with Hypothermia Therapy in Patients After Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with hypothermia therapy in patients after acute cerebral infarction. Methods: A total of 116 patients with acute cerebral infarction who underwent surgery at The First People's Hospital of Ruzhou City from September 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 58 cases in each group. The control group received hypothermia therapy after surgery, while the experimental group received Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction on top of the control group's treatment. The clinical efficacy, neurological function, self-care ability, serum inflammatory factor levels, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=4.393, P<0.05). After treatment, the NIHSS score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, and the ADL score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=16.383, 6.522, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-1β, IL-6, and hs-CRP in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=10.805, 11.187, 10.118, P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=12.632, P<0.05). Conclusion: Using Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with hypothermia therapy after acute cerebral infarction can effectively promote the recovery of neurological function and daily life ability, regulate inflammatory factor levels, and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
