Effect of Tirofiban Combined with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention on Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients and Its Impact on the Incidence of Adverse Events
Abstract:Objective: To study the effect of tirofiban combined with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods: A total of 78 AMI patients admitted to Zhoukou City First People's Hospital from July 2021 to July 2022 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 39 cases in each group. The control group received PCI treatment, while the observation group received tirofiban treatment in addition to PCI. TIMI blood flow classification, cardiac function indicators, and the incidence of adverse events were analyzed. Results: After treatment, the TIMI blood flow classification of both groups improved significantly, with the observation group showing better results than the control group, with statistically significant differences (x2=4.523, 4.446, 13.206, P<0.05). After treatment, the cardiac function indicators of the patients improved, with the observation group showing lower left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) and higher left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=5.878, 12.978, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), cardiac troponin I (cTnI), and creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB) in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, with the observation group showing lower levels of all three indicators than the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=13.497, 11.662, 10.348, P<0.05). The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (x2=4.129, P<0.05). Conclusion: The treatment of AMI patients with tirofiban combined with PCI shows obvious effects, significantly improving the blood flow classification, restoring the cardiac function state, and preventing adverse events in patients.
