Relationship between Serum Adiponectin and Osteopontin Expression and Cognitive Dysfunction after Thrombolytic Therapy in Patients with Cerebral Infarction
Abstract:Objective: To explore the relationship between serum adiponectin and osteopontin expression and cognitive dysfunction after thrombolytic therapy in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods: A total of 105 patients with cerebral infarction admitted to The Third Gorge Hospital of the Yellow River from June 2021 to June 2023 were enrolled in the observation group, and 80 healthy individuals who underwent health check-ups at the same hospital during the same period were included in the control group. The levels of serum adiponectin and osteopontin were compared between the two groups. The occurrence of cognitive dysfunction after thrombolytic therapy in patients with cerebral infarction was observed, and the baseline data, serum adiponectin, osteopontin, and other laboratory indicators of patients with different cognitive dysfunction statuses were compared. Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between serum adiponectin, osteopontin expression, and the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction after thrombolytic therapy in patients with cerebral infarction. Results: The serum adiponectin level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the osteopontin level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=14.551, 7.111, P<0.001). The NIHSS score, osteopontin, and homocysteine levels in the group with cognitive dysfunction were higher than those in the group without cognitive dysfunction, while the serum adiponectin level was lower, with statistically significant differences (t=3.095, 4.985, 3.837, 3.095, P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that NIHSS score, serum adiponectin, osteopontin, and homocysteine were all factors influencing the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction (P<0.05). The AUC values for predicting the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction after thrombolytic therapy in patients with cerebral infarction by individual detection of serum adiponectin and osteopontin were 0.810, 0.749, and 0.888 when combined, indicating a certain predictive value. Conclusion: Serum adiponectin and osteopontin show abnormal expression in patients with cerebral infarction who develop cognitive dysfunction after thrombolytic therapy, and they are risk factors for cognitive dysfunction. Detection of serum adiponectin and osteopontin expression can predict the risk of cognitive dysfunction.
