Breeding and Cultivation Techniques of the New Wheat Variety Xiangmai 46 with Resistance to Pre-harvest Sprouting
Abstract：Xiangmai 46 was bred by the Xiangyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences using the self-bred high-generation wheat line 8S1358 as the female parent and Yu Mai 50 as the male parent through pedigree selection. It is a new spring wheat variety with medium maturity. This variety has advantages such as high yield, good comprehensive disease resistance, good grain color, and resistance to pre-harvest sprouting. It was approved at the national level in 2021. This paper analyzes the advantages of the yield structure of Xiangmai 46, summarizes the key points of matching cultivation techniques and original seed production technology, and provides technical support for the application and promotion of Xiangmai 46 in production.
