Control Effect of Two Bio-pesticides on Tobacco Black Shank Disease
Abstract:To screen efficient bio-pesticides for controlling major diseases in tobacco production, a field trial was conducted in Enshi, Hubei, to evaluate the control effects of 1,000 billion spores/g Bacillus subtilis wettable powder and 200 billion spores/g Bacillus amyloliquefaciens wettable powder on tobacco black shank disease. The results showed that when using 65 g/667m2 of 1,000 billion spores/g Bacillus subtilis wettable powder, spraying three times at intervals of 7 days during the early or initial stage of the disease, the control effect reached 85.20%, which could effectively control tobacco black shank disease. When using 200 g/667m2 of 200 billion spores/g Bacillus amyloliquefaciens wettable powder, applying two root drenches at intervals of 7 days during transplanting, a significant control effect was achieved, with a control effect of 84.63%. Both tested bio-pesticides were safe and effective in controlling tobacco black shank disease, providing more options for biological control of this disease in production.
