Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Propiconazole and Its Mixture Agents in Controlling Corn Rust
Abstract:To clarify the effectiveness of propiconazole and its mixture agents against corn rust, a field efficacy test was conducted in 2024 in the main corn-producing areas of Jingzhou, Hubei Province. The results showed that the treatment with 40% propiconazole + tebuconazole SC at a dose of 40 mL/667m2 had the best control effect, reaching 88.17%, which was significantly better than the single agent treatment of 30% propiconazole OD at 30 mL/667m2 (control effect 80.70%) and the control agent 25% pyraclostrobin SC at 30 mL/667m2 (control effect 77.64%). The second best were the treatments of 30% propiconazole OD at 40 mL/667m2 and 40% propiconazole + tebuconazole SC at 30 mL/667m2, with control effects of 85.60% and 85.04%, respectively, both of which were significantly better than the control agent 25% pyraclostrobin SC. In conclusion, propiconazole and its mixture agents show outstanding effectiveness in controlling corn rust and have good application value.
