Effect of Two New Chemical Agents on the Control of Wheat Stripe Rust and Fusarium Head Blight
Abstract:To clarify the efficacy of two new fungicides produced by BASF, 23% Pyraclostrobin + Fluxapyroxad SC and 240 g/L Cyproconazole + Fludioxonil EC, against wheat stripe rust and fusarium head blight, field trials were conducted in 2021 to control these diseases and measure yield. The results showed that 40 mL/667m2 of 23% Pyraclostrobin + Fluxapyroxad SC and 50 mL/667m2 of 240 g/L Cyproconazole + Fludioxonil EC achieved more than 95% control efficacy against stripe rust and over 80% control efficacy against fusarium head blight. These treatments effectively reduced the content of vomitoxin in wheat grains, increased the number of grains per ear and 1000-grain weight, and promoted wheat yield. It is recommended to promote their application in actual production.
