Occurrence Characteristics and Control Strategies of Rice Water Weevil in Fang County
Abstract：In order to effectively control the damage caused by rice water weevil in rice production in Fang County and ensure the yield and quality of rice, this paper systematically analyzes the occurrence characteristics of rice water weevil in Fang County based on plant protection data from 2009 to 2024. It is found that rice water weevil has characteristics such as long duration, serious damage, complex transmission routes, rapid spread, scattered occurrence periods, and prominent larval damage. Combined with these characteristics, this paper proposes comprehensive control strategies targeting monitoring and forecasting, pesticide application during key periods, demonstration and publicity, and strengthening unified prevention and control. These measures provide scientific basis and technical support for the control of rice water weevil in Fang County and similar ecological areas.
