Current Situation, Problems, and Prevention Strategies of Agricultural Pest and Disease in Xiangzhou District
Abstract：This paper analyzes the serious situation of major pests and diseases occurring frequently and new pests and diseases emerging in Xiangzhou District. It discusses the challenges brought by imperfect construction of the plant protection system, complex climatic factors, straw returning to fields, excessive variety diversity, labor shortage, and aging population. It proposes targeted countermeasures such as optimizing straw returning technology, improving monitoring and early warning systems, and enhancing crop stress resistance, aiming to provide references for improving the level of pest and disease prevention in Xiangzhou District, ensuring food security, and promoting sustainable agricultural development.
