Research on Secondary Disaster Avoidance Technology for Gypsy Moth Control in Beekeeping Areas
Abstract:This paper addresses the secondary disaster risks faced by beekeeping areas in Dahu County, Hubei Province, during the aerial spraying process of gypsy moth control. Through scientific avoidance, staggered timing control, and biological control measures, a secondary disaster avoidance technology system for gypsy moth control in beekeeping areas of Dahu County was established, achieving a coordinated improvement in gypsy moth control effectiveness and bee safety. After the promotion of this technology system, the gypsy moth control effect in the demonstration area reached more than 95%, the bee colony loss rate was ≤2%, pesticide use was reduced by 35%, and the comprehensive ecological and economic benefits increased by 40%. This study provides a new technical approach for integrated pest management in agricultural and forestry interlaced areas.
