Causes and Control Technologies of Huanglongbing in Shatian Pummelo
Abstract：This paper analyzes the causes of Huanglongbing in Shatian pummelo in Rong County, Guangxi, and proposes comprehensive control technologies. The results show that the occurrence of the disease is mainly caused by factors such as the occurrence of the vector insect citrus psyllid, transmission of pathogenic bacteria through grafting, unreasonable selection of planting locations, and improper water and fertilizer management. Several technical measures for controlling Huanglongbing are proposed, including psyllid control, seedling management, orchard site renovation, water and fertilizer management, and orchard sanitation management. The results of three consecutive years of control experiments in several Shatian pummelo orchards show that this control technology has a significant effect on Huanglongbing, with the incidence rate showing a downward trend year by year. This study can provide references for the control of Huanglongbing in other regions.
