Effects of Different Seed Dressings on Wheat Growth and Pest and Disease Control
Abstract:Pests and diseases severely threaten wheat yield and quality. Seed dressing is an important measure for preventing pests and diseases. To screen safe and effective wheat seed dressings, this study conducted a comparative efficacy test of different wheat seed dressings. The results showed that Ke Weikang had the highest emergence rate during the seedling stage (90.31%), Ban Cui had the longest root length (7.60 cm), and Aobai Rui had the most roots (5.90 roots). During the tillering stage, Ke Weikang + Aobai Rui performed outstandingly in multiple growth indicators, with Ban Cui having the longest root length (11.47 cm) and Weibo having the longest stem length (40.07 cm). In terms of Rhizoctonia solani control, Ban Cui showed the best efficacy, reaching 99.8%. In terms of yield, He Yue + Bang Qiao had the highest yield, at 484.8 kg/667m2, with an increase of 11.5%. Considering all factors, the three seed dressing treatments—Ban Cui, He Yue + Bang Qiao, and Ke Weikang + Aobai Rui—performed outstandingly and are recommended as priority seed dressing options for local wheat production.
