Evaluation of Field Demonstration Effects of Several Fungicides for the Control of Sclerotinia Stem Rot in Rapeseed
Abstract:To clarify the field efficacy of several fungicides such as fluxapyroxad against Sclerotinia stem rot in rapeseed, a field demonstration experiment was conducted in Qichun County in the spring of 2024. The results showed that the treatment with 200 g/L fluxapyroxad suspension at 50 mL/667m2 had the best disease control effect, with a disease index control effect of 85.38% during the podding stage. It also showed the most significant yield increase, with a yield of 154.97 kg/667m2 and a net profit of 356.84 yuan/667m2. The treatment with 25% prochloraz emulsifiable concentrate at 50 g/667m2 had the second-best control effect, at 81.26%, which was not significantly different from fluxapyroxad. The yield was 141.4 kg/667m2, and the net profit was 333.56 yuan/667m2. Considering both the overall control effect and the cost of control, fluxapyroxad is suitable for promotion in years when Sclerotinia stem rot occurs severely. Prochloraz, as a conventional, efficient, and low-risk chemical pesticide for controlling Sclerotinia stem rot in rapeseed, can be widely applied in years when the disease occurs less severely, with no fewer than two applications to effectively prevent the disease and protect the yield.
