Trial Study on the Control of Diamondback Moth by 5% Cypermethrin Microemulsion in Huanren Area
Abstract:The diamondback moth is a major pest of cruciferous vegetables in the Huanren area. Vegetables damaged by the diamondback moth not only have reduced yields but also serious impacts on vegetable quality. To clarify the safety and optimal dosage of 5% cypermethrin microemulsion for controlling the diamondback moth on Chinese cabbage, this study set up three concentrations: 150 g/hm2, 225 g/hm2, and 300 g/hm2, with 20% fenpropathrin aqueous solution as the control agent. The results showed that 5% cypermethrin microemulsion at a dosage of 300 g/hm2 had the best effect on controlling the diamondback moth, with control effects of 81.31% and 98.02% on the 3rd and 7th days after treatment, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the control agent. In conclusion, it is recommended to promote the application of 5% cypermethrin microemulsion for controlling the diamondback moth on Chinese cabbage, with the optimal dosage ranging from 225 to 300 g/hm2.
