Field Trial of Different Formulations of Xiehe·Su Suspension for Controlling the Soybean Armyworm
Abstract:To reduce the use of chemical pesticides and achieve precise pest control, this study took the soybean armyworm as the experimental subject and used the artificial diet feeding method in the laboratory and field trials to investigate the efficacy of different formulations of Xiehe·Su against the soybean armyworm. The results showed that in the laboratory experiment, different formulations of Xiehe·Su all had inhibitory effects on the growth and development of the soybean armyworm, significantly reducing the larval body length and instar stage. Among them, suspension agent 4 (1.5 billion PIB/mL Spodoptera litura nucleopolyhedrovirus + 9,660 IU/μL Bacillus thuringiensis) showed the most significant inhibitory effect, followed by suspension agent 1 (0.8 billion PIB/mL Spodoptera litura nucleopolyhedrovirus + 9,660 IU/μL Bacillus thuringiensis). In the field trial, different formulations of Xiehe·Su showed good control effects against the soybean armyworm, with suspension agent 1 (0.8 billion PIB/mL Spodoptera litura nucleopolyhedrovirus + 9,660 IU/μL Bacillus thuringiensis) performing best. In conclusion, suspension agent 1 (0.8 billion PIB/mL Spodoptera litura nucleopolyhedrovirus + 9,660 IU/μL Bacillus thuringiensis) is the best pesticide for controlling the soybean armyworm, and it is recommended for promotion and application.
