Field Efficacy Test of Insecticides for Controlling Sugarcane Borer by Mixing and Using on-site
Abstract:Borer is an important pest in sugarcane production. To screen suitable insecticides and methods, this study investigated the control effect on sugarcane borer after applying 30% Chlorantraniliprole + Thiamethoxam SC + 5% Abamectin EC twice and 10% Tetrachlorofenamide SC + 5% Abamectin EC once in the field. The results showed that the experimental area (applying 30% Chlorantraniliprole + Thiamethoxam SC + 5% Abamectin EC twice and 10% Tetrachlorofenamide SC + 5% Abamectin EC once) had a good control effect on sugarcane borer, with borer-infested plant rate and borer-infested node rate of 31.33% and 2.02%, respectively, which were extremely significantly lower than those in the control area where farmers managed the borer themselves. It also showed an extremely significant yield increase. In conclusion, applying 30% Chlorantraniliprole + Thiamethoxam SC + 5% Abamectin EC twice and 10% Tetrachlorofenamide SC + 5% Abamectin EC once on-site in the field has a good control effect on sugarcane borer, and it is recommended for promotion and application.
