The Effect of Different Pesticide Adjuvants on the Reduction and Enhancement of Copper Hydroxide for Controlling Citrus Canker
Abstract:This study investigated the effects of four different adjuvants, including mineral oil, plant oil, magnetic absorption agent, and new lipid membrane, on the reduction and enhancement of copper hydroxide for controlling citrus canker. The results showed that after reducing the copper hydroxide by 25% and adding the tested adjuvants, no phytotoxicity was observed on the leaves and young fruits of navel oranges, indicating good safety. Among the tested adjuvants, mineral oil, plant oil, and new lipid membrane showed significant synergistic effects, with mineral oil showing the best enhancement effect, increasing the control efficiency of citrus canker by 23%. It is recommended to add adjuvants such as mineral oil when applying copper-based formulations to control citrus canker, in order to achieve the purpose of reducing dosage and enhancing efficacy.
