Isolation and Identification of Pathogens Causing Diseases in Polygonatum
Abstract：As a traditional Chinese medicinal material, Polygonatum has various medicinal effects. With the increasing cultivation area, the occurrence of Polygonatum diseases has also increased. To clarify the types of pathogenic fungi causing diseases in Polygonatum and provide a basis for diagnosis and green control of Polygonatum diseases, this study isolated and identified pathogens from diseased samples collected in Linqi Town, Chunan County, Hangzhou City. The results showed that a total of 9 pathogenic fungi were isolated from the diseased samples of Polygonatum, among which Fusarium proliferatum, Neoscytalidium hyalinum, Geotrichum candidum, Eupenicillium oxysporum, and Curvularia geniculata were first reported as pathogens of Polygonatum. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the subsequent control of Polygonatum diseases.
