Application Research of Food Lures in Monitoring of Rice Leaf Folder
Abstract:To verify the monitoring effect of food lures on rice leaf folder in the field, a comparative study on the monitoring effects of three methods was conducted. The results showed that the average number of moths captured by a single trap using food lure was 4,976, while that using sex lure was 3,035, and that using chasing method was 563. Food lures could monitor the first (1st) to fifth (3rd) generations of rice leaf folder throughout the monitoring period, with obvious peaks, which is of guiding significance for the control of pests and diseases in later stages. The food lure monitoring method can attract both male and female moths, and one trap can capture multiple moths, and it is green and efficient, which is worth promoting and applying in production.
