Design and Application of a Small-Scale Manual-Harvesting Machine for Tobacco Leaves in Hilly and Mountainous Areas
Abstract:Tobacco fields in hilly and mountainous areas have characteristics such as undulating terrain and irregular plot shapes, making them unsuitable for the use of large-scale machinery common in flat tobacco regions. To address this issue, a semi-automatic tobacco leaf harvesting machine suitable for hilly and mountainous areas was designed. This harvesting machine adopts a dual-track power chassis, on-board storage unit, seat assembly, and multi-mode driving system, achieving continuous harvesting operations through human-machine collaboration. The application results show that the equipment can effectively reduce labor intensity, improve harvesting efficiency, and improve working conditions, promoting the development of tobacco agriculture towards scale, specialization, and standardization, thereby enhancing the comprehensive benefits and competitiveness of tobacco agriculture.
