Key Technologies for Forest Pest and Disease Control in Erlangshan Area, Ming County, Gansu
Abstract:Taking the Ming County Erlangshan Forestry Station in Gansu Province as a case study, this paper explores the practical paths of forest pest and disease control in forest resource management. Through field research, data analysis, and technical verification, the study focuses on three aspects: the necessity of prevention and control, existing problems, and technical practices. It analyzes the ecological and economic damage caused by bark beetles and pine caterpillars to Chinese red pine and Prunus armeniaca, and discusses challenges such as technical adaptability, monitoring applications, and pesticide selection. It also elaborates on the 'ground-air integrated' monitoring system, integrated pest control technology combining biological, physical, and chemical methods, and a data closed-loop mechanism. The results show that the incidence of major pests and diseases decreased by 32%, vegetation coverage increased by 11.5%, and both ecological and economic benefits were significantly enhanced. The study indicates that a systematic pest control system can safeguard forest resources, and its 'precise monitoring + scientific prevention and control' model can provide references for similar mountainous areas, promoting sustainable development of forestry.
