Climate Change Characteristics in Jiangzhou District, Chongzuo City and Their Impact on Sugarcane Production
Abstract:In order to understand the impact of climate change on sugarcane production, monthly average temperature, precipitation, and sunshine duration data from the basic meteorological observation station in Jiangzhou District, as well as annual sugarcane planting area and yield data provided by the agricultural department, were selected. The linear trend estimation method and correlation analysis were used to analyze the characteristics of climate change and its impact on sugarcane production. The results show that from 1991 to 2023, the annual, autumn, and winter average temperatures in Jiangzhou District showed varying degrees of downward trends, while the other two seasons showed the opposite trend. Except for spring, the sunshine duration in other periods of Jiangzhou District showed a decreasing trend to varying degrees. There is a significant relationship between autumn precipitation and the sugarcane planting area in Jiangzhou District. The four seasons' average temperature, precipitation, and sunshine duration in Jiangzhou District have little impact on sugarcane yield per mu, and the relationship with sugarcane yield per mu is not significant.
