Simulation Design of Apple Sorting and Packing Production Line Based on RobotStudio
Abstract:Traditional manual sorting methods are inefficient and prone to errors, making it difficult to meet modern production demands. To address this, a virtual simulation design was conducted using RobotStudio software, with the apple sorting and packing production line as the research object, aiming to achieve efficient and low-cost intelligent sorting and packaging through digital means. First, the process flow of apple sorting and packing was analyzed, including three key stages: sorting, packing, and palletizing. A 3D model of the production line was completed using SolidWorks, imported into RobotStudio software to build a virtual simulation platform, and Smart components such as cylinders and robotic arms were added as sub-components with property settings. The RAPID language was used to implement path planning and signal interaction control for each workstation, ensuring accurate sorting, reasonable packing cycle, and stable and efficient palletizing. This achieved automated simulation of the robot workstations' production process, providing a feasibility basis for the design of the apple sorting and packing production line.
