Research on the Current Situation, Problems, and Necessity of Water-saving Supporting and Renovation in the Shiyang River Irrigation Area
Abstract：The Shiyang River Irrigation Area is currently facing problems such as aging infrastructure, incomplete water measurement equipment, lagging development of water-saving irrigation, and low level of informatization. Implementing water-saving supporting and renovation projects has a profound impact on ensuring food supply, enhancing economic benefits, optimizing the ecological environment, and promoting rural revitalization. This reform plan includes reshaping pipelines and expanding areas of water conservation, and has already achieved noticeable progress, such as improving water supply efficiency and reducing water use in farmland. In the future, the irrigation area may achieve efficient water use and scientific allocation, and the quality of informatized management will be significantly improved, thus promoting the coordinated progress of ecology, economy, and society.
