Evaluation and Change Characteristics of Human Settlements Climate Comfort in Changshun County
Abstract:Using monthly meteorological observation data from Changshun County Meteorological Station from 1985 to 2024, this study evaluates the climate comfort of human settlements in Changshun County by calculating the temperature-humidity index, wind effect index, and comprehensive comfort index, and analyzes its change characteristics. The Mann-Kendall mutation test was used for mutation analysis. The results show that the climate comfort of human settlements in Changshun County is classified as cold, cool, and comfortable. From January to March and December, it is cold; April, October, and November are cool; and May to September are comfortable. The monthly variation shows an inverted U-shaped distribution. The climate comfort of human settlements in all four seasons shows a linear increasing trend to varying degrees. Winter is cold, and summer is comfortable. The annual variation shows a decreasing trend, and the climate comfort index gradually approaches the threshold value corresponding to the comfortable level. There was a mutation in the annual climate comfort index of human settlements in 2003. The mutations in spring, summer, and autumn occurred in 2001, 2013, and 2003, respectively, with an upward trend. No significant mutation was found in winter.
