Research on a Novel Mussel Processor from the Perspective of Marine Agriculture
Abstract:With the development of the marine agricultural economy, mussels, as a typical solid waste, face problems such as accumulation pollution and resource waste. To solve these challenges, a highly efficient mussel processor was designed. It mainly consists of an outer shell, a vibrating separation chamber, and a water-pumping device. The processor has a high degree of automation, capable of automatically completing processes such as mussel intake, filtration, separation, and storage. This processor is not limited by the moisture content of mussels, and its separation efficiency has been significantly improved compared to traditional methods. The entire processing process is automated, effectively reducing labor costs. The design is reasonable, with built-in solar panels that reduce energy dependence, multi-layer filters that enhance filtration effectiveness, and corrosion-resistant and high-strength components that extend the equipment's service life. The functions are rich, not only enabling shell-meat separation but also collecting marine solid waste, automatically detecting, and transmitting signals. Simulation experiments show that a vibration frequency of 8 Hz can achieve a high degree of mussel meat separation and good shell integrity. This processor provides a new solution for marine mussel processing and holds significant importance for promoting the sustainable development of marine agriculture.
