Analysis of the Impact of Climate Change on the Growth Period and Yield of Rice in Caofeidian District
Abstract:To explore the impact of climate change on the growth periods and yield of rice in Caofeidian District, this study used meteorological observation data such as temperature, precipitation, and sunshine duration from the Caofeidian District Meteorological Bureau from 1991 to 2023, combined with local rice growth period and yield data. The study mainly used linear trend analysis to investigate the impact of climate change on the growth periods and yield of rice in the area. The results showed that during the study period, the average temperature during the rice growing season in Caofeidian District increased, while precipitation and sunshine hours decreased. At the same time, the entire growth period of rice was shortened. The sowing period, emergence period, three-leaf period, transplanting period, regreening period, tillering period, and heading period showed varying degrees of delay trends, while the jointing period, panicle formation period, milk stage, and maturity period were advanced. Meanwhile, the yield per mu of rice significantly increased.
