The Realistic Foundations, Multiple Challenges, and Implementation Pathways of Intangible Cultural Heritage Activation under the Background of Rural Cultural Construction
Abstract:Current research on the integration of culture and tourism, high-quality tourism development, and how intangible cultural heritage resources promote high-quality tourism development has become a focus of scholars' attention. As the 'heart city' of the southern Hunan region, Hengyang City has abundant intangible cultural heritage resources. However, in promoting the activation and utilization of intangible cultural heritage and achieving high-quality development, it still faces multiple challenges such as the single structure of intangible cultural heritage tourism products, lack of innovation in publicity methods and content, lack of synergy in intangible cultural heritage tourism development, and the need to improve brand building capabilities. This paper analyzes the realistic foundations and challenges of Hengyang's intangible cultural heritage and proposes five suggestions: protecting intangible cultural heritage inheritors and increasing government investment; strengthening cooperation with institutions for mutual benefit; introducing intangible cultural heritage into schools to cultivate a reserve force for intangible cultural heritage; enhancing tourists' experience to make the resources 'come alive'; and increasing publicity efforts and innovating publicity methods. These suggestions provide a reference for the activation of intangible cultural heritage in Hengyang City.
