Characteristics of Meteorological Disasters in Saihan District, Hohhot and Their Impact on Crop Growth
Abstract:The linear climate tendency rate method was used to analyze the changing characteristics of high temperature, frost, heavy rain, hail, and strong wind disasters in Saihan District, Hohhot from 1991 to 2023, and their impact on crop growth was discussed. The conclusions are as follows: Over the past 33 years, the number of high temperature days, frost days, hail days, and strong wind days in Saihan District, Hohhot have generally shown a decreasing trend; the number of heavy rain days has mainly shown an increasing trend. Meteorological disasters such as high temperature drought, frost, hail, heavy rain, and strong wind often cause serious damage and losses to crop production in this area. In response to meteorological disasters, it is necessary to vigorously carry out specialized meteorological services for crop planting, strengthen communication and cooperation with agricultural departments, and jointly prevent and mitigate disasters, aiming to reduce the impact of disasters and ensure the safe production of crops.
