Impact of Climate Change on Mung Bean Cultivation in Hengshan District and Meteorological Service Measures
Abstract:Using monthly average temperature, precipitation, and sunshine duration data from 2010 to 2023 in Hengshan District, the linear tendency estimation method and statistical methods were used to analyze the climate change characteristics of Hengshan District. The study found that the average temperature from 2010 to 2023 was 9.7°C. Starting from March each year, the average temperature rapidly increased, and after May, the average temperature exceeded 15.0°C, which is relatively suitable for mung bean cultivation. The average annual precipitation was 428.8 mm, with most of the annual precipitation occurring between May and September, accounting for 78.7% of the annual precipitation, which is also relatively suitable for mung bean cultivation. The average annual sunshine duration was 2801.4 hours, with an average of about 200 hours per month throughout the year, and there was little difference in sunshine duration across the four seasons, which is also relatively suitable for mung bean cultivation.
