Practices and Reflections on the Mechanization of Potato Production in the Southwest Mountainous Areas
Abstract：Potato is one of China's main grain crops, and the southwest mountainous areas are an important production area for potato in China. Promoting the full-process mechanization of potato production in mountainous areas is of great significance for improving the efficiency of potato production in the southwest mountainous areas and promoting farmers' income growth in mountainous areas. Due to the limitations of mountainous terrain and other factors, the level of mechanization in potato production in the southwest mountainous areas is low, which severely restricts the efficient production of potatoes. Taking the Enshi mountainous area in Hubei as an example, this paper starts with the current situation of potato development and the status of mechanized production technology, analyzes the main problems existing in the mechanized production of potatoes in mountainous areas, and puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions to solve these problems, in order to provide a reference for promoting the full-process mechanization of potato production in the southwest mountainous areas.
