Evaluation of Potassium Dichromate as an Intermediate for the Formulation of Thiabendazole with Plant Growth Regulators in Indoor Efficacy Tests
Abstract:The efficacy of potassium dichromate as an intermediate for the formulation of thiabendazole with plant growth regulators was evaluated indoors using the seed germination test paper bed method, K-B diffusion method, and turbidity method. The results showed that thiabendazole had good control effects on the pathogen of bacterial spot, Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa). The antibacterial rate of 10.0 g/L thiabendazole combined with plant growth regulators against Psa was 80.96%, while the antibacterial rate of the single agent was 91.27%. The germination rate of wheat seeds treated with 10.0 g/L thiabendazole combined with plant growth regulators was 25.00%, while the germination rate of the single agent was 0. After using potassium dichromate as an intermediate, the antibacterial rate of the formulation containing 10.0 g/L thiabendazole, plant growth regulators, and potassium dichromate against Psa reached 90.50%, and the germination rate of wheat seeds was as high as 60.00%. This proves that potassium dichromate can serve as an intermediate for the formulation of thiabendazole with plant growth regulators such as naphthalene acetic acid and 6-benzylaminopurine for the treatment of kiwifruit bacterial canker.
