Abstract:The issue of college students' difficulty in finding employment has always been a focus of social concern. In contrast, there is a significant imbalance in talent between urban and rural areas, with a severe lack of construction talents in rural areas. Based on this, this study uses questionnaire surveys, interviews, literature research, and comparative studies to investigate the willingness of students from six universities in Chengde City, Hebei Province, to return to their hometowns for employment and entrepreneurship. The purpose is to understand the willingness of university students to return to their hometowns for employment and entrepreneurship, analyze the influencing factors of college students' return to their hometowns for employment and entrepreneurship, and explore the attitudes of students of different grades towards returning to their hometowns for employment and entrepreneurship. The study shows that college students' return to their hometowns for employment and entrepreneurship is influenced by social, school, family, and personal factors. In response, targeted strategies are proposed to enhance the willingness of college students to return to their hometowns for employment and entrepreneurship, aiming to alleviate the problem of college students' difficulty in finding employment and the shortage of rural talents.
