Abstract Purpose Computer vision (CV) simulates human vision and can automatically match recent imaging examinations with images in large imaging databases to achieve personal identification, which is crucial in scenarios such as identifying unidentified patients or deceased individuals. This study aims to extend from using orthopantomograms (OPGs) to performing CV-based personal identification using a single CT slice.
