Research and Application Status of Smart Livestock Technology at Home and Abroad
Abstract：With the development of smart agriculture, informatization, automation, and intelligence have become the main driving forces for the new quality development of large-scale livestock industry. Internet of Things (IoT) technology, big data analysis, and artificial intelligence (AI) are subtly promoting the upgrading and iteration of modern animal husbandry. This paper mainly introduces the research and application of smart agriculture in different livestock species such as chickens, pigs, and cattle in China, and studies the three major categories of topics focused on by foreign precision livestock production, including individual identification and physiological measurement of livestock, research on production and reproductive behavior of livestock, and scientific improvement of animal welfare levels. It also puts forward feasible suggestions for further promoting the development and application of smart animal husbandry in China.
