Evaluation of Immune Effectiveness against Major Diseases in Swine and Poultry in Guiyang City in 2024
Abstract:To evaluate the immune effectiveness against major diseases in swine and poultry in Guiyang City in 2024 and ensure the density and quality of immunization, this study collected a total of 1,375 chicken serum samples and 724 pig serum samples from 8 districts across the city, and detected relevant immune antibodies. The results showed that the qualified rate of H5 avian influenza immune antibodies was 92.87% (1,277/1,375), and the qualified rate of H7 avian influenza immune antibodies was 90.62% (1,246/1,375), with no significant difference between the two (P > 0.05); the qualified rate of O-type foot-and-mouth disease immune antibodies in pigs was 87.71% (635/724), and the qualified rate of swine fever immune antibodies was 96.13% (696/724), with the immune effect of swine fever being significantly better than that of foot-and-mouth disease (P < 0.05). The qualified rates of all diseases exceeded 70%. Correlation analysis showed that the qualified rates of H5 and H7 avian influenza immune antibodies in chicken flocks were positively correlated to some extent, but not significantly (ρ = 0.62, P > 0.05); there was a significant positive correlation between the qualified rates of swine fever and O-type foot-and-mouth disease immune antibodies in pig populations (ρ = 0.723, P < 0.05). This indicates that there was no obvious antagonistic effect between different vaccines. A comprehensive comparison of immune effects among different regions showed that Huaxi District had the best overall immune effect, with an average rank of 1.75, while Wudang District had relatively poor immune effect, with an average rank of 6.50. The Kendall's coefficient of concordance W was 0.371, indicating a moderate consistency in immune effectiveness against four diseases among different regions, but the result was not significant (P > 0.05). This study can provide reference materials for early warning and prediction of animal disease prevention and control in Guiyang City, as well as resource allocation for disease prevention and control.
