Key Technical Points of Postpartum Feeding and Management for Sows
Abstract：The postpartum period is a critical time for the recovery of the sow's body. The feeding and management during this stage directly affect the reproductive performance of the sow and the survival rate of the piglets, thereby influencing the economic benefits and sustainable development of the pig farm. This article elaborates on the technical points of postpartum care, feeding management, and reproductive management of sows, including postpartum examination, environmental control, fluid supplementation, scientific feeding, piglet fostering, postpartum estrus regulation, and breeding management. At the same time, it proposes solutions to common problems such as anorexia and lack of milk, and summarizes the key points of prevention and treatment technology, providing practical reference for breeders to optimize postpartum management of sows, improve reproductive efficiency, and increase the survival rate of piglets.
