Analysis of Causes and Prevention Measures for Diarrhea in Piglets in Large-scale Pig Farms
Abstract:Diarrhea in piglets is a common and prevalent disease in large-scale pig farms, with piglets under 30 days of age being the main susceptible group. The causes and pathogenic mechanisms of the disease are complex, involving multiple factors such as pathogen infection, nutritional regulation, and environmental management. This paper systematically analyzes the causes of diarrhea in piglets in large-scale pig farms and constructs a comprehensive prevention and control system from aspects such as biosecurity, breeding management, immunoprophylaxis, and drug treatment. The prevention and control of piglet diarrhea should take 'prevention first, combining prevention and treatment' as its core, achieving precise control by reducing stress, blocking pathogen transmission, and optimizing nutritional supply. This has important practical significance for improving the survival rate of piglets and reducing breeding losses.
