Pig PRRS Elimination Program in Large-scale Pig Farms
Abstract:This study systematically evaluated that implementing the six-step PRRS elimination method can effectively reduce the viral load of enveloped RNA viruses such as porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), interrupt the cycle of viral shedding, block vertical and horizontal transmission, and improve the health and stability of pig populations. This effect can be verified through serological detection of PRRSV antibody S/P ratio and coefficient of variation (CV value). The results show that this program can relieve immunosuppression, activate cellular immunity, restore cell vitality, and shorten the persistent infection period.
