The Epidemiological Situation of Swine Diseases in Gansu Province from 2020 to 2024 and Prevention and Control Recommendations
Abstract:In recent years, the types and incidence rates of swine diseases have been on the rise, presenting a serious challenge to the pig farming industry. This study systematically analyzed the characteristics of swine disease outbreaks in Gansu Province by organizing and analyzing the data on swine disease prevalence from 2020 to 2024. The results showed that the main swine diseases prevalent in Gansu Province from 2020 to 2024 included African swine fever, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, porcine circovirus disease, and porcine pseudorabies. These diseases exhibited a fluctuating trend, with epidemic points mainly concentrated among small-scale farmers. In addition, this paper proposes corresponding prevention and control recommendations, aiming to provide a scientific basis for the sustainable development of pig farming in the region.
