["Yeast Cultures' Effects on Growth Performance of Piglets"]
Abstract:["This study aimed to investigate the effects of adding different levels of yeast cultures in the diet on the growth performance of piglets, providing a reference for the efficient use of yeast cultures in piglet production. A total of 100 healthy 21-day-old piglets were randomly divided into 5 groups, with 4 replicates per group and 5 piglets per replicate. The piglets were fed diets supplemented with 0% (control group), 0.25% (test group 1), 0.50% (test group 2), 0.75% (test group 3), and 1.00% (test group 4) yeast cultures. The pre-trial period was 1 week, and the main trial lasted 4 weeks. The results showed that compared with the control group, the final body weight, average daily gain, and average daily feed intake of piglets in test groups 2 and 3 were significantly increased (P < 0.05), while the feed-to-weight ratio was significantly reduced (P < 0.05). The diarrhea rate of piglets in test groups 2, 3, and 4 was significantly lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The results indicate that adding appropriate levels of yeast cultures in the diet can improve the average daily gain and feed intake of piglets, improve the feed-to-weight ratio, reduce the diarrhea rate, and thus significantly enhance growth performance; among these, the effect at a 0.75% addition level was the best."]
