Key Measures to Improve the Survival Rate of Piglets
Abstract：To improve the survival rate of piglets, this paper proposes management plans focusing on the prepartum period of sows, the farrowing period, the nursing period of piglets, and the weaning period. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining the health of sows before birth, managing colostrum during the farrowing period, providing warmth, iron supplementation, weaning induction, and diarrhea prevention during the nursing period, and adopting a gradual weaning method combined with a smooth feed transition and continued warmth during the weaning period. Through these detailed management measures, the survival rate of piglets can be improved, thereby increasing breeding profits.
