The Impact of Meteorological Factors on the Phenological Period and Yield of Lian Nan Fig
Abstract:To evaluate the impact of climate change on specialty economic crops in the northern Guangdong mountainous area, this study used temperature, sunshine, precipitation, and wind observation data from the Lian Nan National Basic Meteorological Station from 1995 to 2024, combined with phenological period and yield data of Lian Nan fig from 2017 to 2024. It analyzed the characteristics of climate conditions and phenological periods of figs in Lian Nan County, as well as the effects of major meteorological factors on the phenological periods and yields of figs. The results showed that the average temperature from January to July in Lian Nan County has been increasing over the past 30 years; the total precipitation from January to July has generally increased, but the precipitation in June and July has decreased; the sunshine duration from January to July has shown a decreasing trend; and the number of windy days has increased. In the past seven years, the phenological periods of figs in Lian Nan County have all shown a delayed trend, with the most obvious in 2024. The yield of Lian Nan figs from January to July was positively correlated with sunshine duration and average temperature, and negatively correlated with precipitation and number of windy days.
