Optimization Study on Outdoor Wind Environment of Lingnan Architecture Based on CFD Simulation
Abstract:To provide reference for building design, this study takes an actual building in the Lingnan region as an example, and uses Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method to simulate and calculate the distribution characteristics of outdoor wind fields under two schemes: the baseline building and the designed building. It analyzes the pressure difference between the windward and leeward sides of the building under wind pressure. The results show that compared with the baseline building scheme, the designed building scheme forms a ventilation corridor in the central part of the southwest area and between the southwest and northeast areas. The courtyard well in the northeast area and the narrow cold alley on the northwest facade not only increase the ground wind speed but also generate upward air flow inside the courtyard and cold alley, achieving good ventilation effects in high-rise buildings. The pressure difference from the windward to the leeward side is greater than 0.5 Pa, which meets the requirements of the Green Building Evaluation Standard. The overall energy efficiency of the building exceeds 50%, and it has been rated as a 'Typical Case of Ultra-Low Energy Consumption and Nearly Zero Energy Consumption Buildings in Guangdong Province' and won the third prize in the Professional Design Category of the Active House Award International Architectural Design Competition.
